Automation

A building management system (BMS) is a control system that can be used to monitor and manage the mechanical, electrical and electromechanical services in a facility. Such services can include power, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and physical access control, pumping stations, elevators and lights Building automation is the automatic centralized control of building’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting and other systems through a building management system or building automation system (BAS) BAS should reduce building energy and reduce the maintenance cost compared to non-controlled building

Intelligent building management systems (IBMS) are used to manage the technology involved in modern buildings. Building management systems are enhanced with the internet and related IT infrastructure to create IBMS. All the management systems installed in a building are integrated in the IBMS via an Internet protocol (IP) network. A single front-end interface is provided in the IBMS through which all the subsystems are managed.

Home automation is the automatic control of electronic devices in your home. These devices are connected to the Internet, which allows them to be controlled remotely. With home automation, devices can trigger one another so you don’t have to control them manually via an app or voice assistant. For example, you can put your lights on schedules so that they turn off when you normally go to sleep, or you can have your thermostat turn the A/C up about an hour before you return to work so you don’t have to return to a stuffy house.
